Breakfast: 1 package instant oatmeal, banana, 1 tsp. peanut butter, 12 oz. chocolate milk
Snack: string cheese
Lunch: chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, English peas, small serving of banana pudding
Snack: peanut butter mini Clif Bar
Dinner: Grilled chicken burrito from Taco Bell, handful of chips and salsa, milk
I really had to practice restraint today at lunch. The cafeteria where I work is actually pretty good, but I don't eat there very often. Today I had lunch with Chad at the cafeteria, and they had chicken fried steak that was so good it would make you want to slap your mama. My gosh it was good. I could have easily eaten one more piece of the chicken, but I convinced myself that I was satisfied with one. I had some mashed potatoes and English peas on the side, and it was a pretty good meal.
For dinner, I went by Taco Bell and picked up a grilled chicken burrito and a fresco bean burrito. I had to practice restraint here too, as it is so easy for me to succumb to the siren song of nachos supreme and double decker tacos. But, I wanted something a little more nutritious so I opted for the chicken burrito and fresco bean burrito. I ate the grilled chicken burrito and some chips and salsa, and then I was so full that I could only eat a few bites of the bean burrito. Hopefully it will fuel me for tomorrow's 5 mile run!
