Back from Vacation

Chad and I returned from a wonderful vacation in Alexandria, LA on Saturday afternoon. We had a great time visiting with friends and family in Alexandria, Ruston, and Monroe.

Things are hectic here in Kentucky as Chad prepares for the start of the Fall semester at Asbury Seminary. But one thing will be different this year for him...I'll be going to school with him! I'm not enrolling in classes at Asbury, but they have hired me for a full-time position in the Registrar's office. I am incredibly excited about the opportunity. Today and tomorrow I will wrap things up with my current employer, and on Wednesday I will start my new job.

We have a lot of transitions going on and I apologize for the lack of posting around here. I hope to get pictures and posts up soon of our trip to Louisiana, and the 2nd half of my trip to Texas!

HALLE-MA-LUIA!!! I was thrilled to hear of your job offer/acceptance at Asbury. I know you will love the new challenge...but not as much as you will love saying goodbye to your current position.

Kudos -- I am proud of you.

I am so sad. Don't get me wrong....I am so happy...but I am so sad. As long as you promise to keep in touch with me, I think I can make it through this. Good luck, and if someone calls you there named Paddy Paws...I think you have a stalker.

Congrats on movin on up! Too bad Chad sold the motorbike - yall could have bought a side car and !
carpooled!
Well, as I was downing a double turkey burger last night and watching "True Life: I Can't Stay Thin" reality hit me like a cold, hard slap in the face. I have found a nice 5k route that I have been running since last week, not knowing it was a 5k. So when I drove it yesterday for the mileage and realized my times were around 27 minutes for a 5k..not good. I need to get back to the days of 21 minutes! So, I am going to sign myself up (and Beulah hopefully!) for the Calabasas 5k in November and my goal is a sub-20 minute 5k! Will probably die, but we shall see! Also, "The Authority Song" by John Mellencamp is a great running song, haha! See ya.
